What’s your new role at RLA, and how are you settling into it?
Senior Account Manager. This is my second role at RLA, (I originally left in June 2018) so I’ve settled back in super quick!
What were your first impressions of your team?
I had worked with some of my team before but it’s great to be back working as part of a new team with some new faces and on some new accounts.
What did you do before starting at RLA? Give us the career/education highlights.
I originally worked at RLA from 2014 to 2018 and then spent a year at a couple of other Bournemouth agencies before finding my way back to RLA earlier this summer. My degree wasn’t marketing related; I have a degree in Modern History and Politics. Just don’t talk to me about Brexit…
One of my career highlights was being involved in a photography shoot with the late June Whitfield at her home in Wimbledon. I say career highlight, I managed to get a flat tyre as I pulled up outside her house and spent the day trying to find a mobile tyre repairer whilst helping on the shoot. That’s Account Management for you,
What’s different about RLA so far?
The ethos is what sets RLA apart. Quite simply; a group of like-minded people, working together and supporting each other to produce the best work for their clients. It doesn’t get any better than that.
What’s your dream client?
I’d love to be involved in a Waterstone’s rebrand; I think it’s really overdue
What do you get up to outside of work?
I’m getting married next year so wedding prep is top of the list, as well as spin classes as often as I can! I love a good read too and spend far too much money on books. I’m also very lucky that Southbourne beach is at the bottom of my street, so I spend as much time on the beach as I can.
What made you choose RLA?
We sort of chose each other! I came back on a freelance basis and the stars aligned that a role became available for me to come back on a permanent basis. It sounds extremely cheesy, but coming back felt like coming home.
If you could have a superpower what would it be, and why?
Easy. Flying, mainly because I can’t stand sitting in traffic jams.
What is your favourite movie, and why?
Also easy. Independence Day. Me and my brother watched it A LOT when we were kids and it’s just good fun
